Kodi for IPTV Review 2026: PVR IPTV Simple Client

Facts last checked: 10/21/2026, from the app’s store listing and documentation. App prices and availability are set by the developer and can change.

Is Kodi good for IPTV?

Yes, if you like to set things up yourself. Kodi is a free, open-source media center, and its PVR IPTV Simple Client add-on loads an M3U playlist and an XMLTV guide into Kodi’s TV section. It runs on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and Fire OS. For most people, a dedicated IPTV app is quicker.

What it is like to use

Once it is set up, Kodi puts live TV, the guide, your own media library and add-ons in one place, and you can change almost everything with skins and settings. Getting there takes more steps than any other player: install the add-on, enter the playlist and guide links, restart, and wait for the channels to load. Our Kodi IPTV setup guide shows each step.
