How to Set Up IPTV on Kodi with PVR IPTV Simple Client

How do I set up IPTV on Kodi?

In Kodi, go to Add-ons › Install from repository › PVR clients and install PVR IPTV Simple Client. Open its Configure screen, paste your M3U playlist URL under General and your XMLTV guide URL under EPG, then restart Kodi. Your channels appear under TV in the main menu.

• Kodi 21 “Omega” on Windows, Mac, Linux, Android or a Fire OS stick
• Your M3U URL and EPG (XMLTV) URL
• About 10 minutes

Install PVR IPTV Simple Client

1. Open Kodi and select Add-ons.
2. Choose Install from repository › Kodi Add-on repository › PVR clients.
3. Select PVR IPTV Simple Client and Install.

Add your playlist and guide

1. Open the add-on and select Configure.
2. General: set Location to Remote path (Internet address) and paste the M3U URL.
3. EPG: set Location to Remote path and paste the XMLTV URL.
4. Select OK, then restart Kodi.
5. Open TV in the main menu. Channels load the first time in a minute or two.

Fixes for common problems

• No TV in the menu: Settings › Interface › Skin › Configure skin › Main menu items › turn on TV.
• Channels missing after changes: Settings › PVR & Live TV › General › Clear data, then restart.
• Slow to start: large playlists take time on first load; let it finish once.

Only install add-ons from the official Kodi repository. Third-party “builds” and add-ons are a common source of malware and pirated streams.
